How far is it from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon?

Does anyone know how far it is from Las Vegas to the closest point of the Grand Canyon?

azvegas 		Around four hours drive and and around 300 miles, traveling thru Kingman and then Williams AZ

azvegas 		That would be the West Rim, which is 120 miles east of Las Vegas.

azvegas 		It is approximately 350 miles take route 66 east there are parts that don't have a speed limit posted. You know you are on the right path when you pass a ghost town by the name of Chloride, AZ. You will be headed to the south rim. Tell the park ranger hello for me her name is Shannon Miller. If you enter the park from the south you will see Fred Flintstone.

azvegas 		the closest would be the south rim with the sky walk, i think it took us about 2.5 hours maybe a little more because you drive on a dirt road for a while to get to the indian reservation. you have to pay just to go see the grand canyon and then you have to pay another like $30 per person to walk on the sky walk.
